About Rugby
Living with an electric car in Rugby
Rugby is famous as the town where rugby football was invented, at Rugby School. Today it’s one of the fastest-growing towns in the Midlands, with thousands of new homes at Houlton on the old Rugby Radio Station site and at Cawston. The M1, M6 and M45 all meet nearby, and the West Coast Main Line puts London under an hour away.
Areas we cover around Rugby: Hillmorton, Bilton, Brownsover, Houlton, Dunchurch and Cawston.
Home charging in Rugby
Fitted to suit Rugby homes
Many new homes at Houlton come with a charger or are wired ready for one. If yours isn’t, it’s usually a quick install. In Bilton and Hillmorton, most semis have a drive and a short cable run. With the M1, M6 and M45 close by, a home charger saves a lot on public charging.

Your questions
EV chargers in Rugby: FAQs
My new-build came without a charger. Is it hard to add one?
Usually not. New builds normally have a modern fuse board, and most installs take about half a day.
How much does a home charger cost in Rugby?
We give you one fixed price, including VAT, before we start. A standard install covers a 7kW smart charger, up to 10m of cable, testing, the certificate and app set-up. Anything extra is priced from your photos before you agree.
Who answers if I call in the evening?
One of our directors. Our office line diverts to them outside office hours, so you’ll always talk to a person.
